Christmas in Texas

We had a lot of fun spending Christmas with Mr Man's family this year. We loved seeing everyone! The girls had so much fun playing with cousins B, B, D and N. Thank you Aunt K, for opening your home! It was a lot of work; I know everyone was happy to have such a nice place to spend Christmas.

"Recipes, recipes, I'm making recipes!" (sung in a sing-song voice by G after receiving her birthday gift)

G was surprised to wake up this morning to find her new kitchen waiting for her. She has been playing with it nonstop for the last hour and a half, and I suspect it will be difficult to get her to take a bath in a little while!

"I love it!"

"Thank you, mommy"

"Thank you, daddy"

"It is so hot!"

'Twas the night before her birthday...

We are so excited to give G her birthday present; I feel like waking her up to play with it right now! She is going to LOVE this kitchen. We have to pry her away from the one at the store; she will have a blast with one of her very own. Mr. Man assembled it all tonight, and I accessorized it with new food and pots and kitchen gadgets. Hopefully we can get her reaction on camera. I plan to go to the gym even earlier tomorrow so I can be home when she wakes up.

Happy Birthday to Princess G!

Today we celebrated G's 4th birthday with a princess party. Four of her friends came over and it seemed by the the constant screaming and squealing that they all had fun. They made tiaras, decorated castles, colored pictures of themselves, and played tea party. G loved her cupcakes, and presents, and crafts, but I think she enjoyed her friends the most.

Thank you, Jason and Jenifer!

G felt so special today; she got not one, but two cards in the mail! As she was opening them she told me that "the cards make it a happily ever after" (everything correlates to her obsession with princesses!). The first card was a thank you card from nanny and papa, which she loved. And the second was a birthday card from Jason and Jenifer, which included $5 and some stickers - the perfect present for a 4 year old. The other day, she came to me, stroked my face, and asked in the softest voice, "mommy, can you just give me some cash?" I said, "no," but Jason and Jenifer fulfilled her wish! Thank you!

"Play Go" and "squshy, squshy, gooey, gooey stuff"

That is what G calls Play Dough. The girls played with it today; well, actually, G played, and C licked. G made the playdough into shapes with cookie cutters, and then pretended that it was food. C actually thought it was food. Although, maybe she thought it was a sucker, because she never bit, just licked!

You'd better not pout, you'd better not cry!

This was the first year that G was happy to see Santa (she begged us everytime we neared his chair in the mall), but as you can see, C wasn't too thrilled! Christmas is going to be very fun this year. G is getting her kitchen for her birthday, and then lots of accessories for Christmas (shopping cart, cash register, pretend check book, kitchen gadgets, and on and on!). C is getting a "Little People" princess castle, books, blocks, and much more.

Girls at Play

I have so many cute pictures of the girls, but I have "whittled" it down to these few.

C thinks she is a Christmas tree!

I love my "scuuter."

"Oh, wait! I need to re-apply!"

When sister's away, C will play!

C is in love with this snowman.

What a beautiful family!

I know I already posted today, but I just had to add these pictures of the M, G, and O families taken over Thanksgiving. What a lovely-looking family we have; it's no wonder we have such beautiful children!

Sweet Sisters

Our girls are so precious. They are each at such fun ages. G is growing up fast; she constantly amazes me with the things she is learning. Each day is filled with a million little questions about what we are doing, where we are going, and why things are so. Little sister, C, idolizes "ga-ga" and follows her throughout the house. Today they were "shopping" (they were each pushing carts, picking up things as they went).

I'm a blogger!

I'm a blogger; I blog: I blogged on my first try! And I did it using our new mac book! I love the new laptop and am so excited to join the rest of the modern world. More posts to come...
