Visit with Santa

This is the first year that both girls have been ok with sitting on Santa's lap - we didn't even have to hold Chloe down this time!
Georgia is asking for a video game (a Nintendo DS, to be exact; where, oh where, has my little girl gone?) and Chloe wants a scooter (although she pronounces it skyuuter and is very specific that it has to be pink with hello kitty and a basket on the front to hold her baby).

What We've Been Up To Lately
Moving Day
The girls loved playing in the empty truck;
they pretended it was their spaceship.
Georgia, playing with her food.

Drive-in Movie Night
We surprised the girls by not telling them where we were going.
They were so excited to watch the movie outside.
Add m&m's and popcorn and it was a perfect night.

Window Art
This kept the girls occupied for hours.

Woozy from her MRI.
Thankfully, the results were normal.

Chloe was so happy to start back to school.
First Day of 1st Grade

She was so eager to start and she was even begging us to drop
her off at the doors so she could walk inside by herself.
Of course we followed her with the camera all the way to class.
She said we were embarrassing her.
We told her to get used to it.
Another school day.

Telling Secrets
Chloe loves having mommy and daddy to herself when Georgia is at school.

But, she still misses her big sister.
This is on Georgia's first day of school.
Chloe kept asking when she was coming home.

Searching for shells at the lake.
Chloe is already 4.
She couldn't wait to open her birthday presents.
She hasn't stopped playing with her new house.

Our New Home
This is a short video of our new home construction. A very short video.
Just make sure not to blink...
We plan to add to it as it progresses.

School Program
Both Georgia and Chloe participated in their school program this year. They have been practicing their songs, and were so excited to perform.
Georgia said that she was nervous before entering the stage, but that a friend of hers gave her a piece of advice: "if you get scared of all the people, just pretend that they aren't there." Georgia said that is what she thought about the whole time!
Chloe said that she thought "that's a lot of people!" but she says she wasn't scared at all!

We are looking forward to mini family vacation to San Antonio soon. To foster excitement for the trip, I created a little countdown calendar for each girl. Knowing that they might find a souvenir or two that they will want, I decided to add an additional element to the calendar. Each day before they cross it off, they must complete several chores which will earn them money to bring on the trip.
I never knew just how wonderful it would be to have servants (sure, I have to throw them a few quarters, but still, its great!)
Together they have:
- Sorted laundry
- Put away clean silverware and dishes
- Vacuumed
- Swiffered
- Scrubbed the floors, Cinderella style (I'm sure Georgia LOVED pretending that I was the evil step-mother)
- Made beds and cleaned their rooms
I love my sweet little minions...

Telling Secrets...
This weekend we went up to Guthrie and Kristin happened to see an old building on the side of the road. We stopped and took some photos of the girls. I think they turned out great. We told them to tell each other secrets which they loved (mostly involving calling me a bozo-head) and after looking at the photos so did we.

Happy "Pilgrim's" Day?
Georgia was so excited about St. Patrick's Day this year, and was constantly talking about the little "elf" that was going to come and leave her money (I would love to know where she got this idea!). She keeps forgetting the word leprechaun and instead calls him a pilgrim.
So, when she woke up this morning to find a trail of little green 3-toed footprints, she ran back to find me yelling that, "the pilgrim had come!"
The silly leprechaun also left a pile of candy money and turned their milk green!
Now they are begging me to help them pick out green clothes so that they won't get pinched...

Sending love your way this Valentine's Day...
The morning started out well - the girls were excited to bring their treats to Sonshine School.
But take away their Valentines, and well...
Apparently standing together was just too much to ask.
Luckily all was worked out (with only a couple of threats of skipping their parties), and the sisters were friends again!
