Barbies

The girls go in phases with toys. This whole winter all they did was play teacher, but summer has been all barbie all the time. Only having one Ken has caused a few problems, but overall they play happily for hours on end.

"Modern Art"

I commissioned the girls to create a masterpiece by rolling marbles through paint on a giant canvas. I feel very honored to have two talented artists in residence at my disposal.

Hair Feathers

The girls had been yearning for hair feathers since before school was out, so I surprised them with an appointment at the salon. Girly girls sure are fun!

4th of July

We started the day with the Edmond parade. Every year we go, and every year we leave saying we will never do it again (ITS.SO.HOT). This year was perfect, though. We sat in the shade and had temps in the low 80s - I'm so glad we went! 

After the parade we headed home to pack a picnic and ate in the park. The botanical gardens were open so we spent the afternoon pretending that we were in Hawaii.

Priscilla and Josh joined us for dinner. Georgia and Chloe made our dessert: a sugar cookie strawberry pie. Yum!

Daddy and Josh bought sparklers and fireworks. After playing with them at home, we headed to UCO to watch the big show.
