Finally...A New Post!

It has come to my attention that a couple of very sweet young men have been patiently waiting for pictures of their cousins; not wanting to disappoint my favorite nephews, Blake and Beau, I give you: Easter weekend.

We had a great Easter weekend this year. On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt with kids from church. In case you can't tell, they were very excited.

This is the closest Chloe would get to any sort of Easter bunny this year. I'm afraid she will be scarred for life by Santa (or rather how we forced her to sit on Santa's lap), so we decided not to traumatize her any further by making her visit with the real thing. Even with this blow-up version, it took some prodding to get her to stand that close.

The girls were quite choosy when it came to the actual hunt. Not every egg that they stumbled upon would do. Pink, yes. Blue, no! Easy to reach without getting dirty, yes. Having to maneuver through bushes, no!

As mentioned earlier, Chloe does suffer from a phobia of giant rabbits, and the thought of having the Easter bunny in her own home was just too much to handle. Therefore, much like one would set Christmas stockings out for Santa to fill, we set Easter baskets for the Easter bunny to fill. Outside. With the door locked. Georgia was concerned with how hungry the bunny would be, so carrots were left as well.

The loot.

Chloe is eating what Georgia calls a "tweet" (i.e. peep).

Easter dresses!

I was laughing out loud as I read this post! I vividly remember my Beau being like Miss Chloe is now . . . funny! I think you do too! =) The boys were excited when I told them you had a new post!! YAY!! They couldn't wait to scroll down and see what both girls got in their Easter baskets! Then, once they saw them, Beau asked, "Is that the kind of girl stuff that Briley will get in her basket when she's older?" =) (This girl thing has been so foreign to them for so long until now!) Okay, I just have to mention . . . I LOVE their dresses! SO cute!! Looks like the girls had a great Easter weekend! Give those precious girls a big hug and kiss for all of us! We can't wait to see you! Oh, BTW . . . now the pressure is ON . . . the boys are already waiting for your next post!! =) Love you guys! BKB3

They look so adorable! And while Belle has no concept of color and no concern for her body while hunting eggs I think not picking the icky blue eggs is completely acceptable.
We miss ya'll and can't wait to be in a new house with room for everyone so we can do some serious shopping:)

Thanks, Krista!
The Easter Bunny's favorite shop is TARGET (go figure!), so he got the dolls there. They are pretty cute; they move their arms and coo and giggle, and say "mama."
